The Packers did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Smael Mondon Jr. fell into Round 5, Pick 21. More right than wrong, and a B- to match.

Dart has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up.

Cornerback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. The weekend tilted hard toward the defense.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.

Taking Jack Bech in pick 122 is close to grand larceny; a wide receiver that good had no business lasting this long. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
