Draft Grade — Packers
Overall B+
ValueA NeedB- TradesA+ FutureB-
The Packers cashed the board's mistake on King: B+.

Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Packers were there to profit. Kobe King, the No. 135 name on the board, should have been long gone before the 250th pick. More right than wrong, and a B+ to match.

Reaching for Mays left real value on the table behind him. They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain.

Cornerback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.

Pick Analysis
Pick25 Rnd1 Mason Graham
Steal is underselling it; Mason Graham at the 25th pick is a heist with the alarm still ringing. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick54 Rnd2 Azareye'h Thomas
They went early on Azareye'h Thomas in slot 54, and the value did not follow. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick87 Rnd3 Jihaad Campbell
Taking Jihaad Campbell in No. 87 is close to grand larceny; a linebacker that good had no business lasting this long. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick89 Rnd3 Jayden Higgins
Jayden Higgins slid further than he should have, and pick No. 89 is lovely value for the wide receiver. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick97 Rnd3 Maxwell Hairston
Maxwell Hairston in the Round 3 slot is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick122 Rnd4 Tate Ratledge
Tate Ratledge at pick 122 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick138 Rnd5 TreVeyon Henderson
A top-tier running back at a bargain, TreVeyon Henderson in the 138th overall pick, plain and simple. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick158 Rnd5 Andrew Mukuba
Andrew Mukuba in Round 5, Pick 21 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick196 Rnd6 Cody Simon
Circle this one: Cody Simon at slot 196 is a fall that decides a draft. Insurance at a position that did not really ask for it.
Pick237 Rnd7 Cooper Mays
They talked themselves into Cooper Mays at Round 7, Pick 21, and the board did not agree. It fills a real need, too.
Pick250 Rnd7 Kobe King
Kobe King in the 250th pick should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. A want more than a need, though you can never have too many.
