Draft Grade — Packers
Overall B
ValueB- NeedB+ TradesB- FutureB-
A respectable, level-headed haul for the Packers: B.

Boards are made to be trusted, and the Packers shredded theirs for Nohl Williams. He came off 64 spots early, and the room will hear about it.

However the rest shakes out, Kiser at that price is a win they earned. The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with edge rusher chief among the fixes. Nearly every premium pick went to that side of the ball.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.

Pick Analysis
Pick23 Rnd1 Shemar Stewart
In No. 23 they get a disruptor off the edge at fair value. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick54 Rnd2 Trey Amos
Nothing to complain about; Trey Amos went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick87 Rnd3 Ajani Cornelius
A wild overpay on Ajani Cornelius in Round 3, Pick 23, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick122 Rnd4 Chris Paul Jr.
They barely believed it either: Chris Paul Jr. still on the board at the Round 4 slot. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick158 Rnd5 Dont'e Thornton Jr.
Dont'e Thornton Jr. in slot 158 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick196 Rnd6 Nohl Williams
They reached into another round for Nohl Williams, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick237 Rnd7 Jack Kiser
Circle this one: Jack Kiser at Round 7, Pick 21 is a fall that decides a draft. They added to a strength when a need was still open elsewhere.
Pick250 Rnd7 Cooper Mays
They left a pile of value on the table to take Cooper Mays this early at the 250th pick. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
