Draft Grade — Packers
Overall B+
ValueA- NeedB TradesA+ FutureB-
Larceny in pick 250 lands the Packers a B+, Gadsden II and all.

Somebody in No. 250 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Packers sat still while Oronde Gadsden II, the No. 142 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. They moved the roster forward and banked a B+ for it.

The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. A whole weekend of picks and quarterback is somehow still a want.

Every board in the league had Alexander lower, and that gap is the story. On the needs board they went 6 of 8, with edge rusher the one that mattered most.

A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.

Pick Analysis
Pick33 Rnd2 Jack Sawyer
They took Jack Sawyer at par in slot 33, which is nothing to complain about. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick63 Rnd2 Isaiah Bond
Isaiah Bond at Round 2, Pick 31 is money in the bank, a wide receiver taken below his worth. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick87 Rnd3 Azareye'h Thomas
Azareye'h Thomas in pick 87 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick95 Rnd3 Donovan Jackson
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Donovan Jackson in the Round 3 slot. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick122 Rnd4 Darius Alexander
They jumped the gun on Darius Alexander, taking him earlier than his grade liked. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick123 Rnd4 Chris Paul Jr.
Steal is underselling it; Chris Paul Jr. at the 123rd overall pick is a heist with the alarm still ringing. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick158 Rnd5 Jared Wilson
Jared Wilson at pick No. 158 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. The roster fit checks out.
Pick196 Rnd6 Cody Simon
You do not let a linebacker like Cody Simon reach No. 196 and blink. They did not. Depth on depth, at a spot that was hardly crying out.
Pick237 Rnd7 Jonah Monheim
Jonah Monheim in No. 237 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick250 Rnd7 Oronde Gadsden II
Oronde Gadsden II in the 250th pick is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
