Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Packers were there to profit. Cody Simon, the No. 135 name on the board, should have been long gone before the 239th pick.

West has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast.

If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through edge rusher. The Trey Smith deal gives the class an established piece to lean on.

Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
