Henderson should have been long gone. The Packers pounced, and earned a B-.

You could see the war room lean forward. TreVeyon Henderson at Round 6, Pick 22 is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did.

If Williams pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The Paul Jr. pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with quarterback, tight end and other spots still on the board.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.

Pick Analysis
Pick23 Rnd1 JT Tuimoloau
In the 23rd pick they get juice off the edge, though the board says they badly overpaid. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick54 Rnd2 Maxwell Hairston
Value said wait; Maxwell Hairston in pick No. 54 says they were not listening. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick87 Rnd3 Jihaad Campbell
Jihaad Campbell in the Round 3 slot is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick123 Rnd4 Chris Paul Jr.
The needs board was loud and they turned it down, spending pick 123 on Chris Paul Jr. with quarterback, tight end and other spots unsolved.
Pick160 Rnd5 Pat Bryant
A tidy bit of business in the 160th overall pick, where Pat Bryant graded well above the range. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick200 Rnd6 TreVeyon Henderson
You do not let a running back like TreVeyon Henderson reach slot 200 and blink. They did not. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick239 Rnd7 Nohl Williams
This one needs a full-page explanation: Nohl Williams in Round 7, Pick 21, miles early. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick251 Rnd7 Seth McLaughlin
Seth McLaughlin is a better player than No. 251 suggests; smart patience, rewarded. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
