Draft Grade — Packers
Overall B
ValueB NeedB+ TradesB- FutureB-
The Packers let Wilson fall and pounced. Final grade: B.

The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Packers watched Jared Wilson slide 49 picks past his grade and did not hesitate. More right than wrong, and a B to match.

They will regret leaving quarterback for another day if the season turns on it. The Williams pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over.

Good work on the whole, with quarterback the one box left unchecked.

Pick Analysis
Pick23 Rnd1 Landon Jackson
A straight-up fair deal on Landon Jackson at the 23rd pick, value and slot in agreement. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick54 Rnd2 Tre Harris
Nothing to complain about; Tre Harris went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick87 Rnd3 Maxwell Hairston
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Maxwell Hairston in No. 87. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick123 Rnd4 Darius Alexander
A market-rate interior defensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Darius Alexander. The roster fit checks out.
Pick160 Rnd5 Jared Wilson
Jared Wilson in Round 5, Pick 21 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick200 Rnd6 Jack Kiser
Jack Kiser at the Round 6 slot is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick239 Rnd7 Jonas Sanker
A safety of that caliber at the 239th overall pick is the definition of value, full stop. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick251 Rnd7 Nohl Williams
They left a pile of value on the table to take Nohl Williams this early at slot 251. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
