The Packers looked at the value chart, folded it up, and took Jasheen Davis at the 250th overall pick regardless, 95 picks early. Hard to defend, and the D+ reflects that.

That Skattebo pick is the receipt they will wave around later. The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close.

The Packers clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before. Stockpiling next year's capital is patient, if unglamorous, asset work.
