Draft Grade — Packers
Overall B
ValueB+ NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
Best value of the weekend goes to the Packers for Sanker: B.

Somebody in pick No. 250 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Packers sat still while Jonas Sanker, the No. 130 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium.

Every board in the league had Roberts lower, and that gap is the story. For all the activity, running back went untouched, which is hard to explain. Edge rusher is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

Value over need was the throughline, for better and worse.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but running back.

Pick Analysis
Pick23 Rnd1 Luther Burden III
In Round 1, Pick 23 they get a true top target at a price that makes it sweeter. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick54 Rnd2 Jihaad Campbell
A tidy bit of business in No. 54, where Jihaad Campbell graded well above the range. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick90 Rnd3 Kyle Kennard
A edge rusher of that caliber at pick 90 is the definition of value, full stop. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick124 Rnd4 Elijah Roberts
Elijah Roberts at slot 124 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick127 Rnd4 Darien Porter
They will replay Darien Porter at the 127th overall pick for years; that is how good the value is. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick159 Rnd5 Rylie Mills
Rylie Mills at pick No. 159 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. It fills a real need, too.
Pick198 Rnd6 Kurtis Rourke
Kurtis Rourke in the Round 6 slot is a gift, value that borders on unfair. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick237 Rnd7 Teddye Buchanan
They paid up for Teddye Buchanan at the 237th pick when waiting would have done the job. They doubled down on a strength rather than a need.
Pick250 Rnd7 Jonas Sanker
Somehow Jonas Sanker was still sitting there in Round 7, Pick 34, and they pounced on premier safety value. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
