Draft Grade — Packers
Overall B
ValueB- NeedB+ TradesB- FutureB-
The Packers robbed the room for Alexander. Final grade: B.

Somewhere a general manager is explaining how Zy Alexander got past him. The Packers do not have to explain a thing at the 159th pick. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.

Reaching for Diggs left real value on the table behind him. Leaving running back unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

Edge rusher was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.

Pick Analysis
Pick27 Rnd1 Mykel Williams
They read the board right and Mykel Williams was the payoff at the 27th overall pick. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick54 Rnd2 Jayden Higgins
Jayden Higgins in No. 54 is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick87 Rnd3 Demetrius Knight Jr.
A top-tier linebacker at a bargain, Demetrius Knight Jr. in pick 87, plain and simple. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick91 Rnd3 Jacob Parrish
Jacob Parrish in Round 3, Pick 27 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick124 Rnd4 Joshua Farmer
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Joshua Farmer at the 124th pick is the proof. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick159 Rnd5 Zy Alexander
They will replay Zy Alexander at pick No. 159 for years; that is how good the value is. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick198 Rnd6 Fadil Diggs
Fadil Diggs in slot 198 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick237 Rnd7 Teddye Buchanan
They went early on Teddye Buchanan in the Round 7 slot, and the value did not follow. Insurance at a position that did not really ask for it.
Pick250 Rnd7 Brady Cook
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Brady Cook. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
