The Cowboys let Moore fall and pounced. Final grade: D.

The Cowboys spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Dante Moore, the No. 5 name on the board, in the Round 7 slot. A D that will need time and luck to look better.

The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. It is not that Haulcy is a bad player; it is that the Cowboys had louder needs to answer first.

The interior defensive lineman hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Reaching for Little Jr. left real value on the table behind him.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, interior defensive lineman very much included.

Arvell Reese in the 28th overall pick is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.

Somehow Jermod McCoy was still sitting there in pick 57, and they pounced on premier cornerback value. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.

A swing that ignored the value entirely, Earl Little Jr. well ahead of where he belonged. It adds depth where they could use a little.

A curious use of the 115th pick. Interior defensive lineman needed the pick; a safety in A.J. Haulcy did not.
