The war room fell hard for Malachi Lawrence, and it showed at the 111th pick: 26 picks ahead of a board that had other ideas. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B-.

The Wheatley value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped interior defensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up.

The Smith pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with interior defensive lineman, tight end and other spots still on the board.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
