Best value of the weekend goes to the Dolphins for Robertson: B-.

Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Dolphins were there to profit. Sawyer Robertson, the No. 196 name on the board, should have been long gone before pick 227. The bottom line is a respectable B-.

Every board in the league had Miller lower, and that gap is the story. It is not that Little Jr. is a bad player; it is that the Dolphins had louder needs to answer first.

A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want. They left with quarterback solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.

Pick Analysis
Pick12 Rnd1 Arvell Reese
In the 12th pick they get a three-down second-level presence. A real need, handled.
Pick44 Rnd2 Germie Bernard
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Germie Bernard well ahead of where he belonged. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick76 Rnd3 Cayden Green
Cayden Green in pick 76 is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. It fills a real need, too.
Pick82 Rnd3 Zakee Wheatley
No edge and no loss on Zakee Wheatley in No. 82; it is a wash and a sensible one. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick87 Rnd3 Earl Little Jr.
A curious use of pick No. 87. Edge rusher and running back needed the pick; a safety in Earl Little Jr. did not.
Pick112 Rnd4 Blake Miller
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Blake Miller. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick137 Rnd4 Michael Trigg
No drama and no debate, Michael Trigg went about where he belonged in slot 137. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick152 Rnd5 Aaron Graves
A real head-scratcher, Aaron Graves in the Round 5 slot is miles ahead of his ranking. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick227 Rnd7 Sawyer Robertson
Sawyer Robertson in pick 227 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
