The search is over. The Steelers handed the keys to Drew Mestemaker, and the whole operation now runs on his development. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B-.

That is a safety worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. Leaving running back unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

They are betting Chambliss proves the room right and everyone else wrong. They gave back a little on the phones for the right to move.
