Nobody else had Jalen Rivers anywhere near the 223rd overall pick. The Steelers did, by 110 spots, and that gap is the whole story. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.

The Schwesinger pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through quarterback. Interior defensive lineman is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
