McCarthy is the plan now, and the Broncos grade out a B. After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Broncos committed. J.J. McCarthy is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline.
They are betting Johnson proves the room right and everyone else wrong. Getting Neyor where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. That linebacker hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.
Spending an early pick on DT-EDGE with linebacker and interior defensive lineman open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to.
In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
