A costly weekend of dealing drags the Cowboys to a D+.

There is conviction, and then there is this. The Cowboys took Brady Cook a full 106 picks ahead of where the board had him, an overdraft steep enough that it colors the whole weekend. Too much went sideways, and the D+ is the honest tally.

Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Jackson. They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. The cornerback hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

It is not that Mukuba is a bad player; it is that the Cowboys had louder needs to answer first.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, cornerback very much included.
