Draft Grade — Eagles
Overall C-
ValueA- NeedB+ TradesF FutureC+
Larceny in pick No. 128 lands the Eagles a C-, Trotter Jr. and all.

Somewhere a general manager is explaining how Jeremiah Trotter Jr. got past him. The Eagles do not have to explain a thing at Round 4, Pick 28. The final tally is a middling C-.

They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want.

A perfectly average weekend, for better and for worse.

Pick Analysis
Pick18 Rnd1 Cooper DeJean
In pick No. 18 they get a ballhawk on the outside at fair value. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick23 Rnd1 Kool-Aid McKinstry
In the 23rd pick they get a lockdown presence outside. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick50 Rnd2 JC Latham
JC Latham at the Round 2 slot is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. The roster fit checks out.
Pick59 Rnd2 Tyler Nubin
They barely believed it either: Tyler Nubin still on the board at the 59th overall pick. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick128 Rnd4 Jeremiah Trotter Jr.
They robbed the room for Jeremiah Trotter Jr. here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick170 Rnd5 Theo Johnson
Circle this one: Theo Johnson at Round 5, Pick 34 is a fall that decides a draft. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick178 Rnd6 Braelon Allen
A running back of that caliber at pick 178 is the definition of value, full stop. It fills a real need, too.
