The Bears spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: KeAndre Lambert-Smith, the No. 193 name on the board, in pick 242.

The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. Leaving cornerback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Reaching for Jackson left real value on the table behind him.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
