Hancock should have been long gone. The Bears pounced, and earned a B-.

When a board-topper like Jordan Hancock slides to Round 7, Pick 24, you do not overthink it, and the Bears did not. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B-.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped running back, which is a strange place to end up. Webb has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced.

On the needs board they went 3 of 8, with edge rusher the one that mattered most. The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
