There is conviction, and then there is this. The Bills took Blake Watson a full 45 picks ahead of where the board had him, an overdraft steep enough that it colors the whole weekend. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B-.

The McMillan pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. That interior defensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. On the needs board they went 4 of 9, with linebacker the one that mattered most.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
