The Broncos left with their quarterback, and a D+ to match. The trade table was where it all came apart. The Broncos shipped out far more than they hauled back, and no amount of spin dresses up the bill. Hard to defend, and the D+ reflects that.
Whatever J.J. McCarthy becomes, the front office has tied its fortunes to the answer. The Jefferson reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. The Bishop pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch.
They left with linebacker solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even.
