The 49ers got the worse of every deal, and it shows in the D-.

The 49ers spent real capital to be 41 picks early on Patrick Payton, and the board is going to hold them to it. The math is unkind, and the D- follows.

The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. The Moore pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with quarterback still on the board.

That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. If one pick saves this weekend, it is Slaughter.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even.
