When a board-topper like Cam Skattebo slides to the 215th pick, you do not overthink it, and the Patriots did not. The bottom line is a respectable B-.

Every board in the league had Nelson lower, and that gap is the story. That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

They left with edge rusher solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. They were the ones paying the moving tax this weekend.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
