The value of the weekend has a name and a slot: Cam Ward, the 171st overall pick, roughly 164 picks past where he belonged. Add it all up and it grades out a clean A.

The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. The tight end spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

The Josh Jacobs deal gives the class an established piece to lean on. The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes.

Bottom line, with Ashton Jeanty leading the way, this is a class that should pay off fast and rarely be regretted.
