Somebody in the Round 7 slot was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Commanders sat still while Oronde Gadsden II, the No. 183 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. More right than wrong, and a B+ to match.

If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through offensive lineman. The future picks help the war chest more than the win-now roster. Job largely done: wide receiver settled and 5 of 8 of the wish list covered.

The Commanders paired the rookies with proven help, Mekhi Blackmon leading the way.
