You could see the war room lean forward. Kalen King at Round 6, Pick 4 is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did.

For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain. It is not that Hicks is a bad player; it is that the Seahawks had louder needs to answer first.

The trades cost them a sliver of value they did not need to spend. Offensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
