The Cowboys spent real capital to be 129 picks early on KJ Jefferson, and the board is going to hold them to it. The math is unkind, and the D follows.

However the rest shakes out, Stutsman at that price is a win they earned. Cam Ward gives the offense a face and a plan, and the grade leans heavily on whether he hits. The trades bled value they could not afford to lose.

If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through cornerback. It is not that Watts is a bad player; it is that the Cowboys had louder needs to answer first.
