They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. J.J. McCarthy is the Bears' quarterback, full stop. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B.

If one pick saves this weekend, it is Rosemy-Jacksaint. They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. The cost of the McCarthy reach is exactly the players who went right after him.

The Bears clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before.
