Some picks age like wine; Akheem Mesidor at slot 186 will need to, sitting 157 spots clear of his grade. The process wobbled, and the D is where it lands.

Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Martinez. They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back.

It is not that Mukuba is a bad player; it is that the Cowboys had louder needs to answer first. Leaving cornerback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, cornerback very much included.
