Larceny in pick No. 249 lands the Bills a B-, Mayes and all.

The needs board said one thing and the Bills did another, using pick 128 on Jalyx Hunt while interior defensive lineman, safety and other spots waited. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.

The interior defensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Landing Mayes that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. Ford has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with linebacker chief among the fixes.

Good work on the whole, with interior defensive lineman the one box left unchecked.
