Draft Grade — Packers

Loveland should have been long gone. The Packers pounced, and earned a C-. The Packers did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Colston Loveland fell into No. 113.
They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.
The Campbell pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with quarterback and running back still on the board. They left with edge rusher solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
In the end, one you will need a couple of seasons to truly judge.
Pick Analysis
Pick33
Rnd2
Mykel Williams
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Mykel Williams at pick 33. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick36
Rnd2
Jahdae Barron
They robbed the room for Jahdae Barron here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick37
Rnd2
Walter Nolen
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Walter Nolen in pick No. 37. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick55
Rnd2
Jayden Higgins
A market-rate wide receiver, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Jayden Higgins. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick69
Rnd3
Jalon Walker
Steal is underselling it; Jalon Walker at slot 69 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick86
Rnd3
Kenneth Grant
They barely believed it either: Kenneth Grant still on the board at Round 3, Pick 22. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick87
Rnd3
Nick Emmanwori
Taking Nick Emmanwori in the 87th overall pick is close to grand larceny; a safety that good had no business lasting this long. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick97
Rnd3
Trey Amos
A top-tier cornerback at a bargain, Trey Amos in the Round 3 slot, plain and simple. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick103
Rnd4
Jihaad Campbell
Hard to square with the roster. With positions of obvious need still on the board, Jihaad Campbell adds a linebacker and leaves quarterback and running back untouched.
Pick106
Rnd4
Darien Porter
Darien Porter at slot 106 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick113
Rnd4
Colston Loveland
Somehow Colston Loveland was still sitting there in pick 113, and they pounced on premier tight end value. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick138
Rnd4
Jake Majors
Jake Majors at No. 138 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. The roster fit checks out.
Pick147
Rnd5
Hollin Pierce
A tidy bit of business in the Round 5 slot, where Hollin Pierce graded well above the range. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
