You could see the war room lean forward. Cody Simon at Round 7, Pick 1 is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did.

Reaching for Trapilo left real value on the table behind him. The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

The Knight Jr. pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at edge rusher, quarterback and other spots.

Few war rooms will sleep better than this one tonight.
