The Chargers cashed the board's mistake on Tampa: B.

You build a draft on nights like this. T.J. Tampa had no business being available in No. 69, and the Chargers did the only sane thing and turned in the card.

Leaving offensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Benson has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced.

They went 7 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for. Stockpiling next year's capital is patient, if unglamorous, asset work.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
