Larceny in the 199th overall pick lands the Dolphins a D-, Phillips and all. Somebody took the Dolphins to the cleaners. The deals they made bled real value, and the whole class wears it.
They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up. Reaching for Powers-Johnson left real value on the table behind him.
That is a cornerback worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. The future picks help the war chest more than the win-now roster.
The verdict is not kind, and fairly so; this class has a hill to climb.
