A franchise passer in Daniels headlines a B- weekend for the Patriots.

The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Patriots spent their marquee pick on Jayden Daniels, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback.

Leaving safety unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. However the rest shakes out, Irving at that price is a win they earned. Edge rusher is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

Good work on the whole, with safety the one box left unchecked.
