There was a run on nobody at that position, and the Browns started one anyway for Phillip Webb, 113 picks ahead of schedule. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B-.

That Taaffe pick is the receipt they will wave around later. The tight end hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

They went 8 of 9 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for. Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but tight end.
