The Steelers fleeced the room on the phones and earned a B.

Give the war room a raise for the dealing alone. The Steelers came out ahead on every exchange that mattered, and it was not close. Good, not great, and the B says as much.

A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want. Melton at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. With edge rusher, running back and other spots unsolved, spending premium capital on offensive lineman is the choice that costs them.

Reaching for Travis left real value on the table behind him.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
