The Broncos found their guy under center in Maye: D-.

The Broncos lost the trade war and it was not close, handing partners the better end again and again. Hard to defend, and the D- reflects that.

Drake Maye is the bet, and the class will be judged on how it pays off. A whole weekend of picks and linebacker is somehow still a want. Reaching for Reiman left real value on the table behind him.

They are betting the present roster is worth a lighter draft next spring. Coleman falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch.

In short, the board sent warnings, and they will be hoping it was wrong.
