The Broncos checked most of the boxes and earned a B.

For all the names on the card, the loudest question went unanswered. The Broncos walked out of the weekend still thin at linebacker, a hole that has a way of deciding seasons.

The Pratt pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. Stockpiling next year's capital is patient, if unglamorous, asset work.

They went 5 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for. The Trevor Penning deal gives the class an established piece to lean on.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
