The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Broncos spent their marquee pick on J.J. McCarthy, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback. It washes out to a C+, no better and no worse.

They banked enough surplus on Williams to cover a lot of smaller sins. They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back. That running back hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

Hit on J.J. McCarthy and the swing picks, and this ages a lot better than it grades today.
