A costly weekend of dealing drags the Cowboys to a C-.

You can lose a draft before you make a pick. The Cowboys did it at the trade table, overpaying to chase players the board did not price nearly as high.

If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through linebacker. Every board in the league had Brooks lower, and that gap is the story. Getting Reed where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.

So much rides on Tetairoa McMillan that the real verdict is a season or two away.
