A solid, sensible weekend for the Texans: B-. For all the boxes ticked, the Texans skipped the loudest one: running back is exactly as bare as it was. No fireworks, but a solid B-.
Conerly Jr. has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. They left with offensive lineman solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.
A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
Pick Analysis
Pick25
Rnd1
Josh Conerly Jr.
In slot 25 they get an anchor for the offensive line, though they paid up to get him. A real need, handled.
Pick58
Rnd2
Donovan Jackson
Donovan Jackson in Round 2, Pick 26 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
