Somewhere a general manager is explaining how Luke Lachey got past him. The Commanders do not have to explain a thing at the 238th overall pick. More right than wrong, and a B+ to match.

Spending an early pick on linebacker with quarterback and interior defensive lineman open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to. The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. A modest surplus at the table, banked quietly.

They chose more darts over a bigger single swing.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
