You build a draft on nights like this. Jay Higgins had no business being available in the Round 7 slot, and the Bears did the only sane thing and turned in the card. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

They will need Jackson to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Interior defensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

The offense got the lion's share of the attention.

Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.
