Draft Grade — Bills
Overall C+
ValueB- NeedB+ TradesD+ FutureB-
A weekend that raised as many questions as it answered. The Bills get a C+.

The weekend has a hole in the middle of it named offensive lineman, a need the Bills walked right past.

The Henderson pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. They were the ones paying the moving tax this weekend.

Linebacker was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

If Derrick Harmon and a couple of the gambles land, hindsight will be kinder than this grade.

Pick Analysis
Pick30 Rnd1 Derrick Harmon
In the Round 1 slot they get a disruptive interior force. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick51 Rnd2 Azareye'h Thomas
A straight-up fair deal on Azareye'h Thomas at pick 51, value and slot in agreement. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick56 Rnd2 Jalen Royals
No edge and no loss on Jalen Royals in the 56th pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick62 Rnd2 Carson Schwesinger
Carson Schwesinger in Round 2, Pick 30 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick67 Rnd3 TreVeyon Henderson
A quiet steal in the 67th overall pick: TreVeyon Henderson for less than the market said. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick169 Rnd5 Tommi Hill
Tommi Hill is a better player than No. 169 suggests; smart patience, rewarded. Depth on depth, at a spot that was hardly crying out.
Pick206 Rnd6 Nazir Stackhouse
They paid sticker price for Nazir Stackhouse in pick No. 206, and that is fine. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
