Draft Grade — Colts

More right than wrong for the Colts, and a B- to prove it. You can draft well and still miss the point. The Colts did plenty of tidy work and somehow never got around to wide receiver, which was the need that mattered most. No fireworks, but a solid B-.
The Knight Jr. reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. They left with tight end solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
The skill positions did well by the weekend. The phones were busy but the ledger stayed level.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the wide receiver spot they never got to.
Pick Analysis
Pick12
Rnd1
Tyler Warren
In the 12th overall pick they get a mismatch in the passing game at fair value. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick45
Rnd2
Demetrius Knight Jr.
They went early on Demetrius Knight Jr. in the 45th pick, and the value did not follow. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
