The Dolphins worked the phones like thieves and earned a B.

There is reaching, and then there is Javontae Jean-Baptiste at pick No. 144. The Dolphins jumped the board by 85 and dared it to prove them wrong.

The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. However the rest shakes out, Barrett at that price is a win they earned.

The Mitchell pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with quarterback, wide receiver and other spots still on the board. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
