Draft Grade — Steelers
Overall B+
ValueB- NeedB TradesA FutureB+
The Steelers did the meat-and-potatoes work well: B+.

There is conviction, and then there is this. The Steelers took Logan Brown a full 23 picks ahead of where the board had him, an overdraft steep enough that it colors the whole weekend. They moved the roster forward and banked a B+ for it.

For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain. Getting Judkins where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.

Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.

Pick Analysis
Pick31 Rnd1 Kenneth Grant
In the 31st overall pick they get an anchor for the defensive front, and a steal at that. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick83 Rnd3 Quinshon Judkins
The board had Quinshon Judkins higher than No. 83, and the running back fell to them anyway. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick123 Rnd4 Logan Brown
A real head-scratcher, Logan Brown in pick No. 123 is miles ahead of his ranking. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick133 Rnd4 Jonas Sanker
Jonas Sanker at pick 133 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick156 Rnd5 Jaydon Blue
This one needs a full-page explanation: Jaydon Blue in Round 5, Pick 18, miles early. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick185 Rnd6 Caleb Rogers
A reach on Caleb Rogers in slot 185; the board had better options right there. Depth on depth, at a spot that was hardly crying out.
Pick229 Rnd7 Zeek Biggers
They left a pile of value on the table to take Zeek Biggers this early at the 229th pick. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
