The war room fell hard for Elijah Simmons, and it showed at slot 255: 173 picks ahead of a board that had other ideas. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.

Mondon Jr. at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. They punted on quarterback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

Job largely done: offensive lineman settled and 6 of 8 of the wish list covered. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
